About the Program

In less than seven months, our Education Assistant diploma program provides the skills and training needed to support teachers in the classroom. Our program places an emphasis on developing skills in the area of special education and behaviour management. With this training, you will help prepare classrooms for lessons, supervise students, monitor behaviour, assist students who require additional support and communicate any issues to the teacher in charge.

Program Outcomes

Upon graduation, you will have the knowledge to assist students with lessons under the supervision of the teacher in charge; assist special needs students; monitor students during lunch breaks and recess, accompany students during field trips and other events; prepare classroom for lessons and activities; help with paperwork management, and more.
